The idea of sending petitions to the United Nations
As such has one, and only one, specific purpose. Because, granted that we can never accomplish anything through the UN, we nevertheless want to know who, at this initial stage, is on our side, who pretends to be on our side just as we want to know who officially objects to any of our petitions.

Note that the idea of petitions can be refined, that is adjusted, and used in any of our other initial actions.
That is, as long as we state our goal and, for the time being, limit ourselves to identifying those we are dealing with. Where they stand while we try to reach a Critical Mass of enough people interested in our project to make it worthwhile to proceed.
